Geovannie Gone Represents Kansas at Health Equity Heroes Awards in Washington D.C.

Representing #kansas after receiving a special invitation to attend the National “Health Equity Héroes: Advocates making a difference” in Washington D.C. Such an honor to be present at the legendary Dr. Martin Luther King Library with other recognized National Leaders known to lead with DEI values and who strive to improve health care access for people with the greatest needs and fewest resources. Health equity means the attainment of the highest level of health for all people, where everyone has a fair and just opportunity to attain their optimal health regardless of #race, #ethnicity, #disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, #socioeconomic status, geography, preferred #language, or other factors that affect access to care and health outcomes. Thank you to the Amazing Panel Rohini Anand PhD , Shavon Arline-Bradley , Omar A. Escontrías, DrPH, MPH , Christina Henderson Gary Puckrein, Monique Adams, Ph.D., Raj Verma, Tanisha Sullivan and Paul Rowe for your amazing contributions. So happy to see my National colleagues from Good Health WINs Synovia Moss, Kelly L. M. From Immunize.org and Neena Schultz from the National Association of Community Health Workers at the DC Public Library Martin Luther King, Jr.
